Position Summary

To help each student develop academic competence in subject areas taught and to motivate and encourage students to develop their special talents. The role requires teaching, learning, mentorship, collaboration, assessing, evaluating, and supporting the students and the school.

Success Factors / Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education and a BC Teachers Certification (or equivalent)
• Experience in an Independent School (asset)
• Computer Skills: Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail
• Demonstrated professional practice and ethical interactions with all stakeholders
• Understanding the importance of emotional intelligence and empathy in building trust and a positive school climate
• Ability to communicate, negotiate, collaborate, and build partnerships effectively
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
