Job summary

AppDirect in Montreal is seeking a skilled software developer to join our team as an intermediate-level developer. You will shape the ecosystem for platform integration, architect scalable systems, and contribute across the full stack while collaborating with specialists to deliver robust, production-grade software.

The role requires hands-on full-stack expertise, fluency in French and English, and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Written/Spoken French and English.
• Strong product mindset.
• Experience developing solutions in various programming languages.
• Strong working knowledge of Java (or other JVM languages), Javascript, MySQL.
• Knowledge of web service technologies and building REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Enjoy building production grade code then supporting and maintaining once it goes live.
• You contribute across the full stack and collaborate effectively with specialists when depth is needed.
• L2–L3 AI-assisted development: daily use of coding agents for bounded tasks with review, and routine delegation of feature-sized work, owning design intent, test strategy, and merge quality.
• Proven track record of delivering end to end business solutions.
• 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Shape and evolve the ecosystem for integration into our platform as we scale with more use cases and extensibility.
• Architect and build systems that can process a high volume of transactions.
• Design, implement, and support scalable fault tolerant systems to minimise customer impact in case of failures.
• Participate in the effort to move to a micro-service oriented architecture.
