Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting, are pursuing CPA certification, and are proficient in Excel with experience in QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP. You will work in a collaborative, flexible environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuing CPA certification is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks, Sage or SAP is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Identify clients' financial goals and objectives
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
• Develop financial plans for clients
• Make recommendations on cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, retirement and estate planning
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with applicable Acts
• Analyze financial documents and reports
• Examine accounting records
• Provide financial, business and tax advice
• Assist in planning and execution of financial statement audits
• Maintain and balance various accounts using bookkeeping systems
• Administer charitable or corporate trust funds

What You’ll Do:

• Identify clients' financial goals and objectives

• Make recommendations concerning cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, retirement and estate planning
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act or other statutory requirements
• Analyze financial documents and reports
• Examine accounting records
• Provide financial, business and tax advice
• Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Administer charitable or corporate trust funds

Ideal Candidates Are:

• Holders of a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field
• Actively pursuing CPA certification
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software like Quickbooks, Sage, or SAP is an advantage
