As a Mechanical Microwave Radio Technologist You Will

  • Install and align microwave radio equipment, antennas, and associated hardware.
  • Configure radios, network elements and interfaces
  • Ensure proper grounding and weatherproofing of equipment and materials
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades and repairs to microwave systems
  • Use test equipment to validate system performance
  • Conduct performance checks and preventative maintenance
  • Interpret and update technical drawings, schematics and path studies
  • Compile data and write reports regarding project specifications
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records of documentation, logs and system reports
  • Adhering to safety regulations operating procedures and electrical codes
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians and other trades to ensure support and efficient operation
  • Test and troubleshoot circuits, with working knowledge of MPLS systems
  • Perform DC battery setup and commissioning
  • Install and configure T1 Voice and Data systems
  • Work with Remote Radio and Point-to-Point systems

Our Ideal Candidate Has

  • Completed an apprentice program, technical school or related training in electrical trades
  • A valid electricians license or certificate of qualification
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Proficient reading technical blueprints
  • Excellent communication and teamwork
