Trax is a small, innovative startup revolutionizing the construction industry through Trax Codes—Canada’s largest collection of up-to-date regulatory information. Our tools empower professionals to untangle complex compliance requirements using AI-enriched search, navigation, project management, and automation tools for projects of all sizes.

About the Project

This will be a 1-year contract. We are developing a set of Microsoft Office Add-ins (Word and PowerPoint) to facilitate the creation of knowledge resources and training materials, focusing on energy efficiency. These add-ins will accelerate the development and dissemination of training materials tailored to energy compliance tiers in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and implement robust, user-friendly add-ins for Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

· Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code and tests.

· Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the add-ins.

· Stay updated on best practices and emerging technologies.

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

· 3+ years of full-stack development experience.

· Strong programming/coding fundamentals with proficiency in JavaScript.

· Expertise in Node.js and PostgreSQL for backend development.

· Expertise in Vue.js and Vuetify for frontend development.

· Strong experience with Microsoft Office APIs and developing Office Add-ins.

· Familiarity with modern software development practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD, Agile methodologies).

· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a startup environment.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
