York University is looking for a dedicated IT Technical Support professional to provide technical assistance across academic and administrative environments. The role includes hardware setup, troubleshooting software, and providing support in teaching spaces, requiring a degree in Computer Science and previous supportive experience.
Reporting to the Manager, Client Technical Services, the incumbent provides IT hardware and software technical support for central and local academic, administrative, teaching spaces, and business desktop computer hardware, operating systems, and related applications. Support includes the setup and troubleshooting of hardware, software, systems, and other related components.
University degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or an equivalent of 4 years recent experience (within the last five years) working at York University performing similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.
Two years of current and direct experience in providing IT hardware and software technical support. Preference will be given to candidates with current and relevant support experience in commercial/retail operations and those with applied knowledge of SCCM.
