Job summary

A leading industrial gases company located in Brampton is seeking a Microbulk Service Technician to install and maintain gas storage containers and equipment at customer sites. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, experience with gas pipes, and be self-motivated. This position may require overtime and travel. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • Very strong mechanical ability and ability to identify root cause of problems.
  • Knowledge and experience working with gas pipes and pressure vessels.
  • Strong working knowledge of computers, tablets, and smartphones.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair or maintain liquid argon, CO2 and nitrogen storage containers.
  • Perform equipment calibrations and complete licensing reports.
  • Manage or assist in troubleshooting equipment problems.

Microbulk Service Technician (Full-Time) - Brampton, ON

Primary Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Microbulk Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the installation, repair or maintenance of our liquid argon, CO2 and nitrogen storage containers and gas blenders at customer sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of Micro Bulk tanks, gas mixers and nitrogen generators and gas heaters.
  • Rental equipment maintenance and parts inventory
  • Perform equipment calibrations and complete licensing reports
  • Troubleshooting, minor repairs and maintenance of Micro Bulk tank trucks
  • Manage or assist in troubleshooting equipment problems
  • Future participation in “on-call” paid evenings and weekends rotation
  • Purchase of non-standard parts or immediate needs

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience working with gas pipes and pressure vessels
  • Very strong mechanical ability and ability to identify root cause of problems both at customer sites and remotely over the phone
  • Motivated individual able to work independently and work with clients in a professional and effective manner
  • Strong working knowledge of computers, tablets and smart phones running Windows and Android
  • Well organized with great attention to detail
  • Motivated individual able to work with minimal supervision
  • Available to work overtime and stay out of town in hotels if necessary
  • Mandatory annual drug and alcohol testing for client access requirements
  • Valid drivers license with clean drivers abstract
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds

Other considerations:

  • Team player with strong focus on customer safety and works well as subcontractors
  • Experience installing plumbing lines
  • Knowledge of drinking fountains and draft beverage systems
