A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Mental Health and Addictions Nurse to provide comprehensive intake and assessment services for clients facing mental health and substance use challenges. Reports to the Clinical Coordinator or designate. Works within the organization's framework and standards, following a rehabilitation/recovery-focused model. As a member of an inter-professional care team, the Mental Health and Addictions Nurse - Intake provides central intake, advanced nursing, clinical assessments, interventions, treatments, and referrals for clients experiencing mental health and substance use issues, including their caregivers and families. The role involves liaising with general practitioners, psychiatrists, inpatient units, community mental health services, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuous care across all phases of mental health and addiction support. Travel may be required, and transportation arrangements must meet operational requirements, potentially involving the use of a personal vehicle.
