Job summary

TD SYNNEX North America is seeking an experienced IT leader to oversee enterprise information systems, infrastructure, and technology services. You will partner with stakeholders to align initiatives with business goals and drive modernization across applications, platforms, and services.

You will mentor high-performing teams, steward SDLC processes, and advance security, data governance, and AI-assisted development practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading IT teams in a dynamic business environment.
• SDLC experience across requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• 5+ years of hands-on development experience; Java preferred.
• Strong microservices and distributed app design knowledge.
• Proven experience building modern web apps with React.js (functional components, Hooks, state management).
• Experience integrating front-end with back-end services and APIs.
• Strong REST/JSON API understanding.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with ORM frameworks (Hibernate/JPA).
• Git and collaborative version control proficiency.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for productivity while maintaining code quality.

Job description

Actual annual compensation offered will be based on several variables including geographic location, work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. The average compensation for this role is $115,000-$130,000 CAD.

What You'll Do

• Lead the management, and continuous improvement of enterprise information systems, infrastructure, and technology services.
• Partner with business stakeholders to align technology initiatives with organizational goals and priorities.
• Cover specific domain evaluation, implementation, integration, and optimization of enterprise applications, platforms, and services.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of technology systems supporting business operations.
• Drive infrastructure architecture standards, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and long-term sustainability.
• Champion cybersecurity, data protection, governance, and compliance initiatives across the organization.
• Lead the delivery of IT services and support, maintaining a seamless experience for internal and external users.
• Manage technology projects and vendor relationships, ensuring successful execution and measurable business outcomes.
• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing technology teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
• Identify opportunities to modernize systems, automate processes, and leverage emerging technologies to create business value.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience leading and managing IT teams in a dynamic business environment.
• Experience participating in and driving all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements analysis and architecture design through development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with build and dependency management tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in development, Java experience is preferred.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed application design.
• Proven experience developing modern web applications using React.js, including functional components, Hooks, and state management concepts.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with backend services and APIs.
• Strong understanding of RESTful web services, JSON, and API-driven development.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with object-relational mapping (ORM) frameworks, including Hibernate and JPA.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to improve productivity while maintaining high standards for code quality, security, testing, and peer review.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in Agile software development practices.
• Exposure to DevSecOps principles, application security best practices, and cloud-native architectures.
• Bilingual candidates preferred (English + Mandarin Chinese).

Rémunération

La rémunération annuelle réelle offerte sera établie en fonction de plusieurs facteurs, notamment le lieu géographique, l'expérience professionnelle, la formation, les compétences et réalisations du candidat, et sera déterminée d'un commun accord au moment de l'offre d'emploi. La rémunération moyenne pour ce poste se situe entre 115 000 $ et 130 000 $ CA.

Connaissances, compétences et expérience

• Plus de 3 ans d'expérience dans la direction et la gestion d'équipes TI au sein d'un environnement d'affaires dynamique.
• Expérience dans la participation et la gestion de toutes les phases du cycle de vie du développement logiciel (SDLC), de l'analyse des besoins et de la conception de l'architecture jusqu'au développement, aux essais, au déploiement, au soutien à la production et à l'amélioration continue.
• Compréhension des pipelines CI/CD et expérience avec des outils de gestion des dépendances et de compilation tels que Maven ou Gradle.
• Plus de 5 ans d'expérience pratique en développement logiciel; une expérience avec Java est souhaitée.
• Bonne compréhension des architectures de microservices et de la conception d'applications distribuées.
