We’ll look to you for:

  • Recommend work standards by studying operational requirements; utilizing work-measurement techniques; applying standard measurements and time study principles.
  • Investigate, recommend, prepare, and coordinate amendment requests to the master maintenance schedule, ensuring the integrity of the technical details incorporated.
  • Schedule and execute corrections, revisions, and updates as required.
  • Participate as a standing member of the PEG and RCM committees, providing guidance that reflects Alstom’s best interests in maintenance changes related to task durations.
  • Update the Master Maintenance Schedule as needed.
  • Maintain maintenance process documents for scheduled activities, repairs, and testing procedures.
  • Provide labor hour estimates for special projects based on Engineering Instructions and prototypes.
  • Create detailed job plans with tasks and material lists for various projects.
  • Monitor maintenance schedules and advise planners of workload or changes to balance equipment train cycles.
  • Validate work order durations against optimal time estimates in maintenance manuals.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. While you don’t need to have every skill, the following will help you succeed:

  • University or College degree or certification (asset).
  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Understanding of industrial engineering principles related to work study, process analysis, and resource planning.
  • Familiarity with rolling stock equipment is a strong asset.
  • Project management skills are an asset.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Basic knowledge of database software (MS Access, Maximo) is a plus.
  • Good English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
  • Limited travel as required for operational needs.
