Joining our team is an opportunity to contribute directly to the manufacturing of engine components at Pratt & Whitney Canada, while working within an experienced and multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for developing manufacturing methods for P&WC engine components (turbines, compressors, combustion chambers, etc.). You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of approximately 60 methods agents, NC programmers, special process specialists, and CMM inspection specialists.

As a Methods Agent, you will also be responsible for supporting and optimizing manufacturing methods to help achieve the delivery objectives of the manufacturing plant.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours in Longueuil, and is fully on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Create and document complex manufacturing routings for aerospace engine parts and assemblies;
• Program NC machines;
• Interpret and validate technical requirements from drawings, models, and customer specifications;
• Define tooling for part assembly or inspection in collaboration with related departments;
• Coordinate production implementation and part development projects;
• Coordinate the introduction of new products and changes through strict and standardized quality processes;
• Work closely with machinists and inspectors on the shop floor to refine manufacturing methods and address issues with parts under development;
• Provide technical support to the manufacturing shop floor and external suppliers;
• Establish work standards to improve the quality and robustness of manufacturing processes;
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

What do you need to be successful?

• College diploma or relevant experience, plus 3 to 5 years of experience;
• Knowledge of CATIA V5;
• Knowledge of SAP;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project;
• Strong teamwork, autonomy, communication skills, and attention to detail;
• Machining experience (CNC and/or conventional) (asset);
• Experience in welding, plasma thermal spraying, or shot peening (asset).

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a knowledge of technical terms in English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
