Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a seasoned NC Programmer to design, program and optimize aerospace components. You will use CATIA V5 for 5-axis machining, generate APT source programs, and validate G-code with VERICUT.

The role requires 5–10 years in NC programming, reading drawings, GD&T proficiency, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual French/English communication is essential.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Aeronautical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 5–10 years of NC programming experience using CATIA V5 and VERICUT Machine Simulation.
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes is an asset; able to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Creative and able to develop innovative methods and new ways of working.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills and team-oriented mindset.
  • High level of autonomy and initiative.
  • Bilingual in French and English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Program aerospace components using CATIA V5 (5-axis machining).
  • Generate and submit APT source programs; validate G-code output with VERICUT.
  • Develop electronic visual work instructions for component manufacturing (operator manuals/work packages).
  • Participate in problem-solving to meet delivery schedules and production deadlines.
  • Develop and deploy macros and automated routines to reduce programming time.
  • Prepare machining strategy estimates including programming time and cycle time.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining-related issues affecting quality and performance.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Program aerospace components using CATIA V5 (5-axis machining).

How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aeronautical Engineering Technology, or possess other relevant experience.
  • You have a minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in NC programming using CATIA V5 and VERICUT Machine Simulation.
  • You have knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes (an asset).You are able to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • You possess knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • You are organized and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • You are creative and enjoy developing innovative methods and new ways of working.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
