Job summary

CMC Electronics is seeking a Methods Agent - Mechanical to provide hands-on technical support across manufacturing cells, assist with prototypes and tests, and help optimize production equipment and processes.

You will design tools, run equipment programs, and conduct time studies while ensuring high-quality methods. Fluency in French and English, and experience with NC machines and PCB testing, are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Collegial diploma in mechanics or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
• Excellent knowledge of instruments and test stations to support PCB and electro-mechanical testing.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio; knowledge of G Code.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to production cells and assist with manufacturing, prototypes and equipment movements.
• Design necessary tools and perform production equipment programs.
• Conduct time studies and establish benchmark times.
• Prepare work instructions, procedures and visual aids.
• Ensure proper functionality and use of equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain high quality of manufacturing methods and participate in FRB when necessary.
• Identify needs and contribute to the technical training program.

As a Methods Agent - Mechanical, you will perform various functions related to industrial engineering, by offering technical support for the assembly, inspection or test operations.You will also participate in continuous improvement activities, the follow-up for quality monitoring and the technical training of the production employees.

As a Methods Agent - Mechanical , your day-to-day responsibilities will include?

• Providing technical support to the various production cells; hands-on assistance with manufacturing, prototype assembly, and coordinating the movement of production equipment and test;
• Designing the necessary tools;
• Performing production equipment programs;
• Conducting time studies and establishes benchmark times;
• Preparing and producing work instructions, manufacturing procedures and visual aids;
• Ensuring the proper functioning and proper use of equipment and performs troubleshooting;
• Ensuring that the manufacturing methods in place provide a high level of quality of work;
• Investigating and resolving technical issues.Participates in the Failure Review Board (FRB);
• Identifying needs and participating in the creation of the technical training program;
• Interpreting specifications to determine product requirements, manufacturing methods, and selection of equipment needed;

• Collegial diploma in mechanics or equivalent;
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience;
• This position requires an excellent knowledge of instruments and test stations.The specialist will be called upon to support the testing activities of PCBs and Electro-Mechanical products;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft application software (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Visio) and assembly language (G Code);
• Good knowledge of NC machines and machining techique;
• Good knowledge of electronic circuit assembly processes;
• Good knowledge of French and English;
• Sense of initiative, great capacity for synthesis and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
