Job summary

Airbus Atlantique Canada Inc. in Mirabel, QC, seeks a seasoned Methods Agent to support the production team by industrializing assembly steps and mastering process sequencing for G7500 and A220 programs.

You will interact with operators, ensure health and safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in repair processes. Ideal candidates hold an engineering diploma with 5+ years in methods, aeronautics experience, proficiency in SAP, Catia V5, and strong communication in French and English.

Qualifications

• College or university diploma in mechanical, electrical engineering, aeronautical manufacturing, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in methods.
• Experience in aeronautical sector and medium-series production support.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use aeronautical standards.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerancing, and dimension chains.
• French & English: spoken & written.

Responsibilities

• Request the creation of an OMP for a repair part.
• Support production in carrying out repair work.
• Create the repair process without deviation (e.g. replacement of a part).
• Understand the sequencing and the industrial process.
• Support installations.
• Create repair processes related to deviations.
• Communicate change requests to series preparers.
• Modify manufacturing orders as needed (adding missing parts).
• Make corrections to technical sheets or report information to series preparers.
• Monitor work at the end of an assembly to split files for finishing work.

Our Airbus Atlantique site based in Mirabel is looking for its future configuration Methods Agent:
Within a team of about fifteen people, your main task will be to interact with the Production sector to provide technical support to production operators and master an assembly line in terms of industrialization and assembly.
Under the supervision of the Methods (Preparation) Manager for the G7500 and A220 programs for the Airbus Atlantique Canada site in Mirabel, your responsibility will be to master the assembly phases of the positions to which you will be assigned and you must anticipate the associated risks. Your daily work must be done in compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

You will mainly be required to, but not limited to:

• Request the creation of an OMP for a repair part
• Support production in carrying out repair work
• Create the repair process without deviation (e.g. replacement of a part)
• Understand the sequencing and the industrial process
• Support installations
• Create repair processes related to deviations
• Communicate change requests to series preparers
• Modify manufacturing orders as needed (adding missing parts...)
• Make necessary corrections to technical sheets if possible or report information to series preparers
• Monitor work performed at the end of an assembly to quickly take charge of files to be split for finishing work

Desired Skills

• You have a college or university diploma in mechanical, electrical engineering, aeronautical manufacturing, or any other relevant diploma
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in methods.
• Experience in the aeronautical sector and in medium-series production support
• Knowledge of assembly processes (key characteristics of a simple or complex assembly tool, capability analysis tool, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Ability to use and interpret aeronautical standards
• Ability to create and/or interpret a manufacturing process
• Master the principles of tolerancing and dimension chains
• Knowledge of elementary parts would be a plus
• Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, Catia V5
• Proactive, team spirit, responsiveness, and rigor
• French & English: spoken & written
