Job summary

Sogeclair in Montreal seeks a Method Agent - Production Support to update manufacturing processes, resolve production issues, and coordinate engineering changes for aerospace components. You will contribute to continuous improvement, optimize methods, and support problem-solving activities on the shop floor.

The role requires a degree in engineering, strong CAD/ERP skills (CATIA, AutoCAD, ENOVIA, SAP), and fluency in French with good English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Avionics, Electrical, Industrial or Electromechanical Engineering or related field.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, visualize 3D concepts and analyze technical issues.
• Fluency in French and good command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Review and update assembly instructions and manufacturing work instructions for aerospace components.
• Analyze, verify, and approve engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Define manufacturing and assembly strategies and tooling to meet geometric tolerances.
• Coordinate implementation of engineering changes with Engineering, Materials Logistics, Quality, and Production teams.
• Provide technical support to production and coordinate problem-solving activities.
• Optimize manufacturing and assembly methods and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Analyze SAP data, maintain manufacturing engineering documentation, and identify production optimization opportunities.
• Define requirements for manpower, tooling, equipment, facility layout, ergonomics, and health and safety.
• Contribute to the improvement of manufacturing engineering processes and conduct audits.

The Method Agent - Production Support provides technical support for aeronautical manufacturing and assembly activities. They are responsible for updating manufacturing processes, resolving production issues, and coordinating engineering changes. They also contribute to work method optimization, continuous process improvement, and operational performance.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and update assembly instructions and manufacturing work instructions for the production and assembly of aerospace components.
• Analyze, verify, and approve engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Define manufacturing and assembly strategies, as well as the tooling required to meet geometric tolerances.
• Coordinate the implementation of engineering changes with Engineering, Materials Logistics, Quality, and Production teams.
• Provide technical support to production and coordinate problem-solving activities.
• Optimize manufacturing and assembly methods, eliminate non-value-added activities, and contribute to continuous improvement and research and development projects.
• Analyze SAP data, maintain manufacturing engineering documentation, and identify production optimization opportunities.
• Define requirements for manpower, tooling, equipment, facility layout, ergonomics, and health and safety, based on optimal manufacturing methods.
• Contribute to the improvement of manufacturing engineering processes, conduct audits, and provide recommendations.

YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIEL TO OUR SUCCESS

• College or university degree in Mechanical, Avionics, Electrical, Industrial, or Electromechanical Engineering, Aircraft Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, visualize 3D concepts, and analyze technical issues.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD software (CATIA, AutoCAD, ENOVIA), and ERP systems (SAP).
• Strong teamwork, perseverance, and sound judgment.
• Fluency in French and good command of English, both written and spoken.
