Meter Reader
Job Duties Include
  • Complete all daily meter reading assignments/tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Upload/download daily route/work assignments to align with the Utility’s schedule.
  • Meet meter reading Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Follow all safety programs and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times, exercising good judgment.
  • Adhere to GTel’s procedures and checklists for efficient service delivery.
  • Report hazards and suggest improvements to enhance service quality.
  • Update and maintain all required handheld field data to ensure service quality and accuracy.
  • Use and care for all GTel and Utility equipment in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide weekly data updates for payroll and customer invoicing.
Skills Required
  • Physically capable of walking long distances (15-20 km) daily.
  • Reliable vehicle, valid G driver’s license, and current vehicle insurance.
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Background Check.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Proven customer relation skills.
