Job summary

Bank of Montreal (BMO) Capital Markets is seeking a Co-op Analyst for the Metals & Mining team in Toronto. You will participate in a one-week training, then join the Metals & Mining industry group to gain exposure to debt and equity financings, M&A advisory, and financial services.

You will develop valuation models, conduct industry research, and assist in client presentations while learning from mentors across the division. This is a structured program for Spring 2028 undergraduates.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with graduation in Spring 2028.
• Maintains excellent academic standing with extracurricular involvement.
• Demonstrates interest and foundational knowledge in finance and markets.

Responsibilities

• Run valuation analyses and build financial models.
• Conduct industry and company research and analyses.
• Develop client presentations and internal memos.
• Prepare internal and external marketing memoranda.
• Support client relationships and business development efforts.
• Work within the Metals & Mining investment banking team in Toronto.
