Job summary

Electra Battery Materials Corporation in Temiskaming Shores, ON, seeks a Process Manager for the cobalt refinery. You will lead a team of process engineers, technologists, and lab staff in a hydrometallurgical plant, driving efficiency, commissioning, and ongoing process improvements.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, KPI development, and collaboration with external engineering firms. A chemical or metallurgical engineering background with P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Chemical/Metallurgical Eng with Ontario P.Eng.
• 5+ years in a managerial role in chemical/metallurgical engineering.
• Extensive operational, commissioning and hydrometallurgical design experience.
• Proven leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
• Willing to relocate within commutable distance to Temiskaming Shores, ON.

Responsibilities

• Oversee process engineers, technologists, lab and operations teams.
• Set performance goals and provide training to staff.
• Support government agency requests as needed.
• Lead commissioning and implement process changes.
• Develop and optimize workflows and SOPs.
• Establish KPIs and monitor process efficiency.
• Ensure regulatory, safety and quality compliance.
• Report progress to senior management.
• Collaborate with external engineering firms on projects.
