Messer Table Operator - Local 1, Marine Fabricators

The Messer Table Operator will be responsible for the safe operation of the Messer Table.

Working hours will be as per the Collective Agreement.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

1. Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training.
2. High standard of integrity and professionalism.
3. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as being self-motivated to work without supervision when required.

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Responsibilities

Key Requirements:

1. Operators using the Messer Table should have a general knowledge of CNC programming & cutting procedures.
2. Wear company issued coveralls and/or work wear and all assigned Personal Protective Equipment.
3. Work safely.
4. You must be eligible to work in Canada to apply for this job.
5. A pre-employment physical is required.
6. A background check will be performed by the Company.

Training

In-house training will be given & is expected to take 2-4 weeks. For training purposes, any new employee being trained must have supervised training with an experienced Messer Table operator until competent in operation.
