Sanofi's strategic direction is to standardize processes across sites, embracing digital transformation in Manufacturing & Supply, simplifying solutions, and leveraging advanced technologies for business value.

The MARS program aims to implement computer-assisted batch review, enabled by a core Manufacturing Execution System (MES). It will transform Sanofi plants, enhancing compliance, reducing costs, and cycle times.

Over the past 3 years, Sanofi deployed 30 production sites across 4 GBUs, with a second wave planned for over 50 sites.

This presents a strategic opportunity to:

• Design standardized end-to-end processes for business value and best-in-class solutions, focusing on electronic batch record management and review by exception;
• Deliver innovative tools to enhance manufacturing performance;

The MES Senior Full Stack Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining global MES solutions, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to standards. You will collaborate with various teams, stay updated on industry standards, and contribute to digital standards maintenance.

Main MES systems include Siemens MES Opcenter Execution Pharma and Koerber MES PAS-X. Business processes cover master data management, batch record management, production execution, equipment and material management, traceability, reporting, and integration with ERP and other systems.

Main Responsibilities:

Business Alignment

• Understand and challenge business requirements to develop scalable solutions.
• Provide functional and technical leadership throughout project lifecycles.
• Maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing costs and risks.
• Propose innovative digital solutions for competitive advantage.
• Ensure optimal utilization of capabilities and services.

People Management

• Provide leadership and expertise to project teams.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and best practices.
• Support digital skills development.

Delivery and Quality of Services

• Design solutions aligned with market standards and best practices.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects with high quality and business value.
• Oversee deployment across sites, evaluate impacts, and manage risks.
• Conduct end-to-end business process analysis and monitor performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Strategy Development and Implementation

• Stay current on technology trends and benchmark against industry standards.
• Collaborate with architecture and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance.
• Present complex technical matters clearly to stakeholders.
• Innovate by challenging existing validation postulates to adapt to new technologies.

About You

Experience & Knowledge:

• 10+ years in manufacturing/automation.
• Experience in multicultural/multilanguage environments and matrix organizations.
• Broad manufacturing process knowledge.
• Significant MES experience, including market standards and pharmaceutical industry knowledge.
• Project management experience is a plus.

Core Skills:

• Expertise in MES solutions like Werum PAS-X or Siemens OPCEnter Pharma.
• Strong knowledge of MES functionalities, regulatory context, and solution architecture.
• Proficiency in digital development and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of automation layers and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Education: Engineering or master's in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience).

Languages: English required.

Mobility: Frequent travel expected.
