A career in our growing Merger and Acquisition Tax practice within Tax services offers the opportunity to assist clients across various industries in managing their tax obligations in dynamic tax environments. You will advise on local and cross-border tax matters, act as a strategic business consultant, and support transaction structuring, tax due diligence, reorganizations, and post-acquisition integration. Your role involves assessing tax risks, analyzing transactions for tax benefits or risks, advising on tax-efficient restructurings, and conducting financial analyses to evaluate tax implications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support transactions from proposal to closing, collaborating with PwC professionals, legal advisors, investment bankers, and client management.
  • Identify and address significant tax issues during due diligence and propose tax-efficient structures to facilitate transaction success.
  • Contribute technical expertise in tax planning, research, and solution implementation.
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs and develop proactive solutions.
  • Handle complex, ambiguous problems effectively, balancing big-picture and detailed perspectives.
  • Foster inclusive communication, encouraging team input and open dialogue.
  • Lead coaching conversations and navigate diverse, cross-border teams and engagements.
  • Build trust through open communication and issue resolution.
  • Mentor team members, recognize their strengths, and support their development.
  • Simplify complex messages, emphasizing key points.
  • Uphold PwC’s code of ethics and business conduct.

  • Experience in corporate or international tax consulting, compliance, or research in a professional setting.
  • Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent designation.
