Job description

A career in our growing Merger and Acquisition Tax practice within Tax services will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients in various industries meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever-changing tax specialties. You'll advise clients on local and cross-border tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis and M&A tax solutions.

Our team assists clients with various aspects of merger and acquisition transactions, such as transaction structuring, tax due diligence, internal reorganizations, and post-acquisition integration. As part of our team, you'll help assess historical tax risks of potential targets, analyze transactions for unusual tax risks or benefits, advise on tax-efficient restructurings, and perform financial analysis to evaluate tax consequences.

As a Mergers and Acquisitions Manager, you'll work with a team of problem solvers to deliver high-quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to transactions from proposal to closing, working closely with professionals, advisors, and clients' senior management.
  • Adding value to transactions by identifying material tax issues or proposing efficient tax structures.
  • Applying technical knowledge to research, design, and implement tax planning solutions.
  • Anticipating stakeholder needs and developing solutions proactively.
  • Handling ambiguous problems and managing details effectively.

  • Encouraging team input and fostering open communication.
  • Leading coaching conversations and managing cross-border/diverse teams.
