Description

Formica Corporation is a maker of world-famous laminate products and decorative surfacing materials. We put our artistic signature on a remarkable variety of commercial and residential interior surfaces. We are seeking a merchandiser to join our team for the summer season. In your role, you will need to assist the sales team and will be responsible for maintaining and updating our product libraries within architecture and design firms. You will also document all activities and interactions in our customer relationship management system.

Schedule: Day shift (Monday to Friday) – 37.5 hours/week

Hourly rate: $22/hour

  • Location: Toronto

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regularly update and manage the product libraries used by architecture and design firms
  • Document all interactions, updates, and other activities related to the product libraries
  • Provide support and training to design professionals on the effective use of our product libraries
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with product library managers, designers, and other key stakeholders
  • Manage the restocking of product samples and promotional materials
  • Regularly produce reports on merchandising activities, client interactions, and material library updates
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Be a student in architecture or design, DEP in administration or sales
  • Hold a valid driver's license and maintain a well-kept vehicle, with the ability to travel within the territory approximately 25% of the time
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
