Job Description
Join Central Alberta Co-op as a Merchandiser/Receiver and help ensure smooth receiving, accurate inventory, and appealing displays. If you're detail-oriented and safety-minded, we’d love to have you on our team.
Position: Merchandiser/Receiver
Term: Temporary contract for approximately 5 months.
Part-time: 24 – 36 hours per week.
Availability: Weekdays
Responsibilities
- Receive and unpack product following proper receiving habits, including accurate piece counts and documentation of damages or shortages.
- Count, stock, face, and rotate inventory using the First In, First Out (FIFO) process.
- Merchandise products in an organized, accessible, and attractive manner with correct signage and pricing.
- Support inventory counts to help maintain accurate stock records and ensure inventory integrity at the location.
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness and safety by emptying containers, sweeping floors, and using PPE appropriately.
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers promptly and efficiently, addressing special requests, and handling complaints professionally.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
- High School is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required.
- Applicants must be over 14 years old (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required).
