We are looking for a Part-Time Seasonal Merchandiser to join our Field Sales team.

Seasonal Merchandisers report directly to a Sales Manager and work within our big box retailers, such as Home Depot, Rona+, Rona, and Reno Depot. As part of the day-to-day responsibilities, Merchandisers execute merchandising directives, establish a positive rapport with store personnel and customers, and relay information to Scotts Sales team regarding inventory opportunities.

This is a contract position ending in August/September, with an average of 8 to 12 hours per week.

Typical weekday shift is 7am - 3:30pm. Weekday shifts are flexible. Weekend shifts may be required (Saturday 10am-2pm) from mid-April to the end of May.

Key Work Performed:

1. Merchandise Scotts products including restocking shelves, racks, and displays; cleaning and facing product; repairing or removing damaged items, etc.
2. Drive in-store sales in conjunction with Scotts Sales Manager
3. Assemble fixtures and displays in-store.
4. Install and maintain point of purchase materials.
5. Provide recommendations and product knowledge to both consumers and retail customer associates.
6. Provide consumer product education.

What you will need to be successful:

1. Strong initiative, self-directed, reliable, and able to work independently with little supervision
2. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
3. Ability to routinely walk, stand, climb a step ladder up to 4m (12ft), handle some heavy lifting (bending, kneeling), and stand for extended periods.
4. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
5. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends

A few other things we will expect from you:

1. Live within 25 km of Lloydminster, AB
2. Current valid Driver’s License, Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record check meeting company criteria.
3. Access to a car during work hours or reliable transportation
4. Access to a computer, printing capabilities, and a smartphone
5. Steel Toe boots/shoes (green patch)
