About This Opportunity

Join our dynamic team of Coca-Cola Canada Bottling Merchandisers as they bring the refreshing taste of Coke to local grocery stores, ensuring our products are always fully stocked and readily available for consumers. With meticulous attention to detail, they transform beverage sections, end caps, racks, and displays into captivating showcases and organize the back store at the client site. Our Merchandisers are frontline champions, delivering unparalleled service to both clients and consumers.

• Territory: Halifax
• Work Schedule: Full-time, must be available for weekends
• Pay Rate: $18.33/hour plus mileage ($0.62/km). After probation, salary increases to $21.33/hour

Responsibilities

1. Maintain and replenish products in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by transporting product between backroom/storage and front-of-store using manual or powered equipment (pallet jack, hand-truck).
2. Build, change, or remove product displays following company standards; maintain product signage; clean product spaces; secure damaged or defective products.
3. Follow all Coke Canada Bottling and store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
4. Manage backroom inventory by organizing stock, monitoring levels, reporting damaged products, re-packing, and organizing materials (pallets, shells, etc.); complete necessary paperwork.
5. Maintain an orderly and clean work area in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
6. Develop and maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers.
7. Physical Requirements: Repeatedly lift, carry, and position products weighing up to 50 lbs (22 kg) above shoulder height; perform kneeling, squatting, and reaching above the head; push and pull manual and powered equipment over a minimum of 100 yards; stand and walk for extended periods.

Qualifications

1. Minimum one (1) year experience in grocery, retail, warehousing, or related fields preferred.
2. Experience with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred.
3. Minimum one (1) year experience working independently preferred.
4. Must have a personal vehicle for work use and current vehicle liability insurance.
5. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no major violations).
