Job summary

Calgary Wild FC is seeking a detail-oriented Merchandise Coordinator to support our growing retail, e-commerce, and merchandise programs. You will help deliver an exceptional shopping experience for fans online and on matchdays.

Working with the Merchandise Manager, you will manage inventory, Shopify administration, order fulfillment, and promotions, while building a foundation for future growth of the department.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in retail operations, merchandise management, e-commerce, inventory management, or a related field.
  • Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to pull reports and analyze data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise and work in a physically active environment.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays as required.
  • Passion for sports and enhancing fan experience and brand awareness of our club is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the club’s retail, e-commerce, and merchandise programs.
  • Assist in executing merchandise strategies, product launches, promotions, pricing initiatives, and retail campaigns.
  • Coordinate inventory management across all sales channels, including receiving, storage, replenishment, transfers, tracking, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Support inventory forecasting and purchasing decisions through inventory monitoring, sales analysis, and reporting.
  • Prepare merchandise for matchdays, including stock allocation, transportation, booth setup, replenishment, and teardown.
  • Ensure merchandise displays, retail spaces, and point-of-sale locations are organized, fully stocked, and presentation-ready.
  • Support in new collection and product designs, brand collaborations, and launches.
  • Assist in supporting and coordinating merchandise staff and volunteers during matchday operations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and merchandise partners to support retail initiatives and product launches.

Position Summary

Calgary Wild FC is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Merchandise Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our retail, e-commerce, and merchandise programs. This role will play a key part in developing and delivering an exceptional shopping experience for fans both online and on matchdays.

Working closely with the Merchandise Manager, the Merchandise Coordinator will assist with inventory management, Shopify administration, online order fulfillment, customer service, product launches, promotional campaigns, and matchday retail operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, customer-focused, and excited to contribute to the growth of professional women’s soccer in Calgary. This position is imperative in building a strong foundation for future growth of the department and the overall brand of the club.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the club’s retail, e-commerce, and merchandise programs.
  • Assist in executing merchandise strategies, product launches, promotions, pricing initiatives, and retail campaigns.
  • Coordinate inventory management across all sales channels, including receiving, storage, replenishment, transfers, tracking, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Support inventory forecasting and purchasing decisions through inventory monitoring, sales analysis, and reporting.
  • Prepare merchandise for matchdays, including stock allocation, transportation, booth setup, replenishment, and teardown.
  • Ensure merchandise displays, retail spaces, and point-of-sale locations are organized, fully stocked, and presentation-ready.

Shopify & E-Commerce Operations
  • Execute and support day-to-day Shopify operations, including product setup, inventory management, pricing updates, website maintenance, collection management, and promotional initiatives.
  • Support the transition and ongoing management of the club’s in-house merchandise operations.
  • Maintain alignment between online and in-person inventory, pricing, promotions, and reporting.
  • Support new product launches through product creation, imagery uploads, SKU setup, barcoding, and website merchandising.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve online sales performance and customer experience.
  • Manage and fulfill online merchandise orders from receipt through shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Pick, pack, ship, and track customer orders while coordinating shipping logistics and maintaining fulfillment standards.
  • Provide customer service support related to merchandise purchases, including inquiries, exchanges, returns, refunds, product availability, and order status updates.
  • Assist in developing and improving fulfillment processes and customer experience initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, product information, and operational documentation within Shopify and internal tracking systems.
  • Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations while investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming merchandise shipments and maintain organized stockroom and storage systems.
  • Assist with merchandise reporting, including sales performance, inventory trends, sell-through analysis, and replenishment recommendations.
  • Update and maintain inventory trackers, operational procedures, and retail reporting tools.
  • Support merchandise planning, purchasing activities, and other operational initiatives as assigned.
