Job summary

TJX Canada is seeking a Merchandise Assistant in Mississauga to help ensure merchandise gets to the right store on time, supporting sales and operations through data-driven decisions and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work across teams to optimize flow, monitor reports, and contribute to long-term growth through process improvements and special projects in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of retail or merchandising experience preferred.
• Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills under time pressure with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders based on weekly plans, review and update merchandise inbound flow plans, and coordinate adjustments to mitigate logistics changes and delays.
• Analyze visibility milestone reports and other tools to identify issues impacting merchandise flow, prepare and review reports, and provide regular updates to Buyers.
• Collaborate with Planning, Buyers, and other partners to address flow issues, implement discounts or cancellations, and resolve vendor problems.
• Manage the vendor base, ensure timely categorization of Corporate Import Requisitions, and maintain Department Profile Records.
• Work with Logistics to resolve shipping issues, ensure vendor samples are available for review, and participate in special projects as assigned.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $ 52,230.00-$73,122.00 /year *This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
