Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Placement team at Mercer Marsh Benefits, as MMB Operation Leader. This national role will be based in Canada. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office and a dual function as a Sr. consultant for an existing client base.
The MMB Operational Leader will focus on operationalizing our placement strategy with integration across the business core functions. In addition, act as a senior consultant for an existing client base (appropriate with Operational role), matching clients' insurance needs with appropriate carrier coverage by utilizing market practices, pricing, and underwriting policies.
As Operational Leader, we will count on you to:
Improve MMB’s placement disciplines, with a focus on consistency and leveraging best practices and capabilities.
Work with MMB Canada Placement Leader to set strategic priorities, drive client impact, grow placement revenues and capitalize on opportunities.
Operationalize Placement across key functions such as marketing, sales, operations, value proposition, renewals, and day-to-day process.
Operationalize insurer carrier agreements, SLAs, and SOPs.
Build the MMB Global Placement community with a focus on sharing best practices and increasing our ability to create global/regional/local alignment where appropriate.
Accelerate the development and implementation of Placement technologies.
Enhance MMB’s ability to track placement progress and leverage Data & Analytics to drive insight and impact.
Key focus on client experience and client-facing materials.
Assist Placement Leader with insurer carrier relations and negotiations.
As Senior Consultant we will count on you to:
Partner with organizations of all sizes to develop client-specific strategies for competitive group insurance/employee benefits plan design and funding based on client objectives, budgets, and visions.
Prepare Terms of Reference (TOR) of benefits to be used for Request for Proposals (RFP) for new and existing clients.
Secure and compare submission of bids by the insurers and HMO providers.
Handle the negotiation with the insurers and medical providers on behalf of clients.
Possess technical insurance knowledge of life, accident, and health insurance products.
Run analytics and evaluate clients' insurance programs to provide tailored solutions.
Cultivate a thorough understanding of insurance markets to enhance client service.
Prepare proposal components for Client Relationship Managers (CRM) and Sales Professionals (SP) for both existing and new clients to support winning new business opportunities.
What you need to have:
Ten + years of experience in insurance placement.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate insurance programs effectively.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with CRMs and SPs.
LLQP license.
