Job summary

Webuild seeks a skilled MEP Technical Coordinator to join the Design team on the Hazel McCallion LRT project in Mississauga. You will own MEP technical packages, coordinate with Engineers of Record, and support construction through site presence, field walks, and timely issue resolution.

Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, you will review IFC packages and shop drawings, manage RFIs, NCRs and submittals, and coordinate interfaces across civil, structural, architectural, utilities and rail

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating MEP packages on large construction projects.
• Site presence and field walks to identify issues early.
• Ability to resolve design clarifications and field discrepancies.
• Review IFC packages, drawings and submittals for constructability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site presence and participate in field walks for issue resolution.
• Coordinate interfaces with civil, structural, architectural, utilities and rail teams.
• Ensure RFIs are clearly articulated with background and solutions, track all RFIs and submittals.

About the Job

We are hiring a MEP Technical Coordinator to step into an existing role on our Design team on the Hazel McCallion project. This position reports to the Senior Technical Manager.

What You Will Be Doing?

• Own assigned MEP technical packages, priorities and outstanding actions, coordinating design progression, construction support and closeout.
• Maintain regular site presence and participate in field walks to identify issues early and coordinate practical resolutions with construction teams and subcontractors.
• Coordinate directly with designers and Engineers of Record to resolve design clarifications, field discrepancies and interdisciplinary conflicts.
• Review IFC packages, drawings, specifications, shop drawings and material submissions for constructability, completeness, sequencing and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with civil, structural, architectural, utilities and rail systems teams, including equipment rooms, penetrations and maintenance access.
• Ensure RFIs received from construction teams or subcontractors are clearly articulated with technical background, sketches, photographs and proposed solutions,
• Maintain track of all RFIs, submittals, NCRs, SIs, CRRs and review comments through timely closure.
