Overview

Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking a Mental Health Therapist to be part of our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in Sylva, NC.

A newly hired Therapist/Behavioral Health Service Provider can receive a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000.00, depending on the service agreement chosen. Service contracts are for 1, 2, or 3 years.

What You'll Do:

Within the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) program, the master’s-level Qualified Professional is a member of the ACTT multidisciplinary team who has training in one of the mental health professions (i.e. social work, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, or substance abuse) and possesses the clinical skills and expertise to assess, plan, develop, coordinate, and provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses under the supervision of the team leader and the psychiatrist. This individual functions as a clinical member of the multidisciplinary team and provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support services.

What We're Looking For:
  • Valid North Carolina clinical license (Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist).
  • Knowledge of diverse modalities of counseling and diagnostic principles.
  • Knowledge and experience developing peer support specialists preferred.
  • Demonstrated belief in a recovery-focused, trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to treatment.
  • Case management and supportive services experience a plus.
  • A Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
