A leading healthcare provider in Canada is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to join their multidisciplinary team. The role involves providing essential life skills training and support to clients dealing with mental health and developmental issues. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in Community Social Services and experience working with individuals with mental illness. This position emphasizes the importance of client safety and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Reporting to the Coordinator, the Mental Health Support Worker is a member of a multidisciplinary team. This role involves providing life skills training, coaching, advocacy, advice, and support services for clients experiencing mental health, behavioral, and developmental issues, as well as support for their caregivers and families. Responsibilities include following an established plan of treatment/care, motivating, assisting, and instructing clients with activities of daily living, and reporting on clients' progress and reactions to medications.
