Reporting directly to the Client Service Manager, and under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or other assigned Regulated staff, the Mental Health Support Worker is an unregulated team member who provides ongoing encouragement and support to clients with complex mental health, behavioral, and/or addiction diagnoses. The role involves observing, monitoring, and reporting on client status, including changes in mental, emotional, and physical health, ensuring timely communication with the regulated staff. The position upholds professional and ethical standards aligned with Carewest’s philosophy and policies, with additional duties as required.
Complex Care — for frail seniors requiring interdisciplinary care to maintain and improve quality of life in safe, comfortable, and supportive environments. Carewest offers a mix of secured and unsecured units.
