Job summary

The University of Regina is seeking a Psychology Research Assistant to support a CIHR-funded randomized trial evaluating a mental health program for premenstrual mood disorders. You will assist with participant recruitment, screening, interviews, and data collection in collaboration with the research team.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.

Qualifications

  • Recently completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology or related field.
  • Strong interest in mental health research and clinical psychology.
  • Experience interacting with research participants or in a helping role is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport.
  • Comfortable following structured protocols and learning standardized assessment procedures.
  • Experience with data entry, management, or analysis is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement participant recruitment strategies, screening and enrolling participants, and conducting structured clinical interviews to determine eligibility.
  • Monitor participant progress, ensure adherence to study protocols, and maintain regular communication with participants to support retention.
  • Oversee data collection processes, tracking completion of study measures and addressing missing data while ensuring ethical handling.
  • Collaborate closely with the research team to troubleshoot issues and maintain high data quality and integrity.
