A local educational board in Ontario is seeking a Mental Health Clinician for a temporary role. The clinician will provide mental health assessments, therapeutic counselling, and case management to students facing various challenges. Candidates must have a Bachelor of Social Work and be registered in good standing. This position is full-time, 35 hours per week, with a pay band of $42.63 - $47.37.

As part of our strategy to provide ongoing support for our schools, the Board is accepting resumes for the full-time temporary position Mental Health Clinician.
Purpose: The Mental Health Clinician provides social, emotional, and mental health assessments, therapeutic counselling support, and case management for students and their families. This position reports to the Manager of Counselling Services.
Supervision: Supervision of staffing groups is not included; limited supervision and mentoring of social work students may be required.
Internal: Students and staff; External: Student families, general public and community agencies
School and office environment, with after-hours calls; considerable pressure to meet deadlines; considerable travel; attention to detail, concentration and observation; dealing with challenging individuals; moderate lifting (up to 5 kg).

Hiring Requirements: A police records check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check and Pardoned Sexual Offenders Database Search, dated within 6 months prior to hire, is required. Candidates may experience up to 6 weeks for this process; applicants are advised to begin early.
