We are currently looking for a permanent part-time (0.42 FTE) Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Clinician to join the Mental Health and Substance Use Access Central team based out of the Kelowna Community Health & Services centre in Kelowna, B.C.

The MHSU Substance Use Clinician supports Access Central, a new regional virtual service delivered by a centralized interdisciplinary team based in Kelowna. This position supports regional, coordinated access to substance use bed-based services, including treatment, transition, stabilization, and supportive recovery.
The Substance Use Clinician functions as a member of the Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) healthcare team and a specific MHSU multidisciplinary team. The role ensures that individuals experiencing substance use problems or co-occurring disorders have access to timely, evidence-based treatment and clinical supports across the continuum of services.
The clinician provides assessment, treatment, service coordination, and urgent response for complex clients, often with co-occurring disorders and serious functional impairments across physical health, personal, family, financial, occupational, and social domains. The role involves utilizing a variety of specialized treatment modalities for individuals, groups, and families.
Shifts are days from 09:00 to 17:00 hours.
