Description

This role is responsible for providing general nursing care while functioning as a member of both nursing and multi-disciplinary teams within the Mental Health and Addictions portfolio, including Morningstar Centre and Rapid Access Addition Medicine (RAAM) programs, ensuring client needs are met.

Qualifications

  • Currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Specialized training or certification in concurrent disorders preferred
  • Firm understanding of concurrent disorders and associated treatment modalities
  • Knowledge, skills and experience in assessment, treatment & rehabilitation, crisis management, advocacy and principles of PSR
  • Ability to work as a team and collaborate with others including members from other community organizations
  • Advanced skills in reasoning, problem solving, decision-making and workload organization
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Previous experience working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and acceptable insurance
  • Must have demonstrated regular attendance at work
  • Required to work flexible hours and rotating shifts
