Job description
Our client is one of the country’s largest providers of mental health and addiction services, with inpatient operations in most provinces and an in-person and virtual outpatient program. They are currently seeking an experienced and ambitious Mental Health and Addiction Physician to join their growing team.
Your new role
In this new role, you will be responsible and accountable for the leadership and overall success of the location, working alongside the Executive Director and Medical Director. In this role, you will act as the MRP for patients in treatment, follow them through weekly appointments, and cultivate a strong therapeutic alliance. Your professional duties will include conducting pre-admission, admission, withdrawal management, and weekly follow-up assessments of patients.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have at least 3 years of practical and related experience in a similar role. You should have graduated from an accredited Canadian program and be in good standing with all the various regulatory bodies. To be successful, you should also have excellent knowledge of standards (e.g., ISO) and regulations. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team are essential. A passion for working with a vulnerable mental health population is the most important requirement.
