The City of North Vancouver seeks a dedicated Member Services Administrator to provide essential office support to the RCMP. The Police Support Services department has an exciting opportunity for a regular full time Member Services Administrator to join their team.
Responsibilities
In this position you will provide effective and efficient office support services to RCMP members at the North Vancouver RCMP Detachment. You will provide onboarding and orientation to new police officers and employees, assist with maintaining and updating the Human Resources Management Information System and other internal systems, place requisitions and purchase accessories, equipment, firearm/weaponry and supplies, maintain and monitor inventory levels and track and monitor budget expenditures for the RCMP.
Requirements
You will have excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work with confidential information and exercise effective discretion and judgment is required. The demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate a variety of tasks and assignments is also required.
You will have completed courses in business, administration or accounting with considerable related work experience, preferably in a policing environment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Considerable knowledge of applicable regulations, RCMP policies and procedures is an asset. The candidate will be required to complete a Canadian Firearms Safety course for restricted and non-restricted firearms.
Compensation
$31.97 to $37.58 per hour
(Pay Grade 17 – January 2024 rates)
Hours of Work
Any seven consecutive hours between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, exclusive of an unpaid one hour meal break with a compressed work schedule
Additional Information
Shortlisted candidates may be required to complete standardized tests or exercises to demonstrate their applicable skills and knowledge.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance as a condition of ongoing employment.
