Job summary

Community Savings Credit Union is seeking a Mobile Member Service Representative to process financial transactions, assist members with services, and support branch campaigns. The role contributes to a unionized team across lower‑mainland branches and emphasizes confidentiality and compliance.

The position offers a 35‑hour work week with extensive benefits, RRSP contributions, paid health days, and vacation, plus learning and development programs.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 plus a minimum of 12–15 months experience as a full‑service teller or Member Service Representative with a financial institution.
  • Equivalent combination of the above may be appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Process financial and non‑financial transactions using the computerised Banking System and automated cash dispenser.
  • Provide a variety of services to members.
  • Service ATM, balance and reconcile ATM transactions.
  • Conduct end‑of‑day balancing procedures and reconcile outages.
  • Review daily, weekly and monthly computer‑generated reports.
  • Follow money‑laundering policy and procedures.
  • Maintain member confidentiality, receive and record temporary cheque orders.
  • Participate in branch campaigns and telemarketing programme.

The Role
  • Process financial and non‑financial transactions using the computerised Banking System and automated cash dispenser.
  • Provide a variety of services to members.
  • Service ATM, balance and reconcile ATM transactions.
  • Conduct end‑of‑day balancing procedures and reconcile outages.
  • Review incoming and outgoing collections.
  • Report large deposits and withdrawals.
  • Provide central cash service to MSRs on a rotating or relief basis.
  • Balance utilities and remit to CUCBC.
  • Open and verify night deposits.
  • Process post‑dated diary file transactions.
  • Retrieve cards, stamps, cashables and safeguard cash, keys, cards and stamps.
  • Advise members of outstanding chargeback items.
  • Review daily, weekly and monthly computer‑generated reports.
  • Hold combinations.
  • Act as a buddy for new MSRs.
  • Conduct regular weekly outgoing telephone calls.
  • Follow money‑laundering policy and procedures.
  • Maintain member confidentiality, receive and record temporary cheque orders.
  • Participate in branch campaigns and telemarketing programme.
  • Conduct cash counts in joint custody.
  • Replenish supplies at member counters.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of robbery and emergency procedures.
  • May perform duties related to administration of estate accounts, opening Merchant MasterCard accounts, reviewing monthly reports of written‑off service charges, receiving reports of lost or stolen MasterCard and POS cards, calculating Law Foundation interest payments, and performing clerical functions related to member accounts.
  • This role supports our lower‑mainland branches.
Qualifications

Grade 12 plus a minimum of 12–15 months experience as a full‑service teller or Member Service Representative with a financial institution.

Equivalent combination of the above may be appropriate.

The salary for this unionized position is set in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement. The current salary grid for this role starts at $55,900 per year and progresses to a maximum of $70,300 CAD per year upon achieving full job proficiency.
