A government agency is seeking a Medical Specialist in Ontario, Canada, to diagnose and treat patients, develop medical policies, and ensure quality care within an interdisciplinary team. Duties, Description, Primary Duties, and Responsibilities
As a Medical Specialist, you will actively participate in diagnosing and treating patients within your specialized field. You will advise and confer with members of other disciplines to ensure patients benefit from an overall specialized program of care. Medical Specialists 2 serve as senior practicing specialists within a recognized discipline of medicine.

Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a medical license in New York State and certification by a Member Board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in your specialty.
Applicants must not be listed on any Federal or State Medicaid/Medicare exclusion lists. If appointed, you may need to enroll as a Medicare provider, obtain an NPI number, and participate actively to allow billing through Medicare and Medicaid. Loss of licensure, certification, or inability to bill may result in employment termination.
Limited license/permit holders licensed in another state or Canada may be eligible if they meet other requirements and obtain a full license within one year of appointment.
