We have a new opportunity for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our Medical Affairs team. In this role, you will develop and nurture relationships, and enhance our scientific credibility with external experts (EEs). Our MSLs respond to requests by providing key scientific and medical information to external and internal stakeholders. This position is based in Quebec, covering the Quebec territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain scientific knowledge to credibly disseminate information to external experts and healthcare professionals, fostering professional relationships.
  2. Participate in and follow up on investigator-initiated studies (IIS), clinical studies, and medical projects within the relevant therapeutic area.
  3. Provide scientific support and maintain relationships with external experts and academic centers.
  4. Deliver credible scientific presentations to healthcare professionals, individually or in groups.
  5. Assist in selecting qualified healthcare professionals for collaborative efforts like research, advisory boards, congresses, and symposiums, ensuring scientific integrity.
  6. Attend scientific meetings and develop summaries of key data presented.

Qualifications:

  1. Doctorate, PharmD, or MD preferred; MSc with relevant medical affairs experience considered.
  2. Relevant experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry; previous MSL experience preferred; neurology/migraine background is an asset; experience in healthcare customer-facing roles; familiarity with scientific publication interpretation.
  3. Knowledge of clinical research methods and regulatory controls.
  4. Strong interest in therapeutic area and medical research.

Essential Skills & Abilities:

  1. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  2. Comfort with technology and various tools/systems.
  3. Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  4. Valid driver’s license and passport.

  1. Understanding stakeholder needs and integrating that into engagement strategies.
  2. Coordinating medical engagement efforts across stakeholders to meet objectives.
  3. Applying data-driven strategies to exceed business goals.
  4. Effective communication and collaboration within the team.
