A part-time Medical Receptionist/Administrator position is available at a busy GP Practice in Stenhousemuir. The role involves patient signposting, appointment management, and supporting the clinical team. Training will be provided for candidates without prior NHS experience. Flexibility in hours is required.

A position has arisen at Tryst Medical Centre for a part-time Medical Receptionist/Administrator within a busy but friendly GP Practice. Previous NHS experience and GP Practice experience would be desirable, however, is not essential as training will be provided. This part-time role within our Administration/Reception Team is to signpost patients to the most appropriate services through telephone call handling or face-to-face at our reception desk, duties also include arranging appointments, results handling, processing prescriptions, scanning correspondence as well as supporting patients and members of the multi-disciplinary team with their enquiries.
The main Surgery opening times are 8.00am – 6.00pm (Monday to Friday). Extended Hours surgeries take place once weekly, late evening.
We offer a range of telephone and face to face appointments to our patients.
Geographically the practice covers Stenhousemuir, Larbert, Carron (North of the River Carron), Carronshore and there are patients in the more rural areas of Airth and Letham.
Our aim is to provide excellent and comprehensive Primary Medical Care for all of our patients and to create an atmosphere within the health centre that is positive and supportive.
The successful applicant must have a welcoming, professional manner who is forward thinking, highly motivated, along with possessing excellent organisational and communication skills, who will work hard to provide an excellent care administrative service to our patients, GPs and wider clinical team.
Hours available are 30 hours over 4 days (negotiable), we do request that the successful applicant be flexible to fit in with changing demands and needs of working in a healthcare setting and flexibility will be necessary to cover annual leave or sickness absence.
