Position Summary

Are you a registered Radiological Technologist looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Radiology department.

In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, working under general supervision and practicing in accordance with the standards of professional practice and the vision and values of Northern Health, performs radiographic/fluoroscopic and related duties in conjunction with radiologists, physicians, and other health care professionals.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:00 to 16:00. On call is required.

Fort Nelson General Hospital is an important health centre for the north. The hospital houses 25 Acute Care beds and 8 Long-term beds. Services include:

  • Lab and X-ray facilities
  • Community Counselling Services
  • Minor Surgery
  • Physiotherapy
  • Massage Therapy
  • Regular visitation from a pediatrician

Fort Nelson is located in the northernmost reaches of the Rocky Mountains, with magnificent scenery and landscapes. The main industries are forestry, natural gas, transportation, and tourism. The population is approximately 3,370. Fort Nelson is a charming and friendly community with a genuine personality. The importance of the Alaska Highway is immediately evident, and the town itself is built around the highway, with the museum, gas stations, shopping, and more. Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program.
  • Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and eligible for membership with the BC Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (BCAMRT) and/or CAMRT.
