Job summary

North Bay Regional Health Centre is seeking a qualified Diagnostic Imaging Technologist for Radiology to perform imaging exams across modalities, including X-ray, CT, ultrasound, and MRI, in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. You will collaborate with physicians and health professionals to deliver high-quality imaging services.

The role requires valid CMRT/CMRITO registration in Ontario (or eligibility), BLS-HCP certification, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

  • CMRITO registration is required for the role.
  • BLS-HCP certification is required.
  • CAMRT certification is an asset for the candidate.
  • Strong organizational skills are required.
  • Willingness to cross-train across modalities is preferred.

Job description

Department: Diagnostic Imaging - Radiology

We are continuing to accept applications until a candidate is selected.

Diagnostic Imaging refers to several different technologies that use highly specialized equipment to quickly and accurately image the human body in order to diagnose, monitor or treat medical conditions. Each type of technology gives different information about the area of the body being studied or treated. These tests are performed by skilled technologists with specialized training. The Diagnostic Imaging Department at the NBRHC consists of, X-ray, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Mineral Density, Echocardiography, Mammography, Ontario Breast Screening and MRI with support services such as Picture Archiving and Communication Systems delivering images instantly to our physicians.

QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Experience/Knowledge:
  • Member of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario required
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification required
  • Certified Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Proficiency in multiple modalities preferred; candidate must be willing to cross train
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health team required
  • Knowledge of Meditech System preferred

  • Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is an asset. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.
