Your Opportunity:

The U of A is an acute trauma center that will give the ability to showcase your individual skills and team dynamics. As a Medical Radiation Technologist, you will operate in the specialized and technical environment of General Radiography. Under limited supervision, you will assess patients, analyze and interpret diagnostic data, and provide information to the Radiologist to assist in diagnosis, clinical intervention, and patient management. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy, endoscopy, and pediatric exams.

Description:

As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You will interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination, produce high-quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review, and assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required.
