Job description

The Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT) performs routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, computed tomography, and interventional procedures. The MRT I produces high-quality radiographs efficiently and safely, attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. The MRT I provides services in accordance with established standards and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies, and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

  11. Salary Range: $35.45 - $46.69

Qualifications

Required: Graduate of a Radiological Technology program or recognized equivalent; active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT); BLS (Level C - Healthcare Provider).

Additional Requirements: Ability to work all shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call; strong radiation safety and technical skills in general radiology, fluoroscopy, and portables; positive attitude and good work ethic; physical ability to meet job demands; proficient organizational, technical, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills; ability to work independently and in teams; capacity to work under pressure and in emergencies; commitment to professional growth; tact, courtesy, and professionalism.

Preferred: Connect Care and PEI proficiency are assets.
