Job Description

To coordinate, perform, and document all activities involved in DI. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties and maintains demeanor complementary to medical ethics.

Position Requirements
  1. Must be certified with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and registered with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists in Ontario (CMRITO) to practice Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Certification will be a hiring condition for those working towards it.
  2. Must possess the ability to perform responsibilities requiring the precise attainment of strict limits, tolerances, and standards, and to make independent decisions to ensure optimal patient care and efficient department operation.
  3. Must have the verbal ability to communicate orally with patients, physicians, and other medical personnel to exchange information or instructions and to write clear, accurate technical reports.
  4. Must have the numerical ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately for treatment plans and to determine radiation exposure levels.
  5. Must have the perception to review images for Quality Assurance purposes.
  6. Must have the physical capacity to perform medium work, including lifting and positioning equipment and patients, and the ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  7. Employment history demonstrating regular attendance at work.
  8. Experience with DR, CR, and PACS would be an asset.
  9. Bilingualism in both official languages would be an asset.
  10. All TADH staff members must follow the COVID-19 vaccination series as per the latest guidance from the Ontario Ministry of Health.
  11. Starting salary of $36.84/hour; $71,838.00/year (as per Step 1 of the OPSEU collective agreement).
  12. Option to enroll in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan.
