Job description

Description

Bayshore's client seeks our support to provide a Medical Radiation Technologist on a part-time basis in Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Hourly Compensation ranges $60 - 65/hr.

The opportunity is for 1 to 2 shifts per week, with a shift typically being 3 hours long.

Responsibilities:

  1. Generate X-rays to visualize the internal structures of a patient based on a legal treatment order in accordance with clinically acceptable standards, for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of client illnesses.
  2. Complete the ordered tests, transfer the images to portable media, and prepare them for transport for interpretation.
  3. Liaise closely with the Chief(s) of Health Services (CHS) to ensure coordination of service provision and provide feedback on any issues of service needs, inadequacies related to equipment, pertinent safety concerns, community standards of practice, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  1. The MRT is a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT-BC) British Columbia.
  2. 2+ years of experience as an MRT and experience with X-Ray imaging.
