BC Cancer – Vancouver Centre
Locum Temporary Full Time: 1.0 FTE

BC Cancer – Vancouver is the largest treatment facility within BC Cancer, collaborating closely with the BC Cancer Research Centre (BCCRC) and Vancouver General Hospital (VGH). Our department employs 42 Medical Oncologists and is renowned for clinical excellence and academic contributions. Vancouver Cancer Centre offers comprehensive services including radiation oncology, surgical oncology, diagnostic imaging, pathology, oral oncology, supportive care, and functional imaging, along with inpatient care.
As a Medical Oncologist, you will utilize your experience to provide quality cancer care. Preference will be given to candidates with clinical experience in managing lung/head & neck and/or gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies, and additional research training or fellowships beyond residency are highly desirable. The primary focus will be on treating lung/head & neck and/or GI cancers, with other tumor sites to be mutually determined.
You will support the Vancouver Medical Oncology Program and the UBC Medical Oncology Training Program, including teaching postgraduate trainees and medical students.
Applicants must have or be working towards Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology. Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and credentialing by BC Cancer are required. Candidates should also be eligible for a clinical appointment at the University of British Columbia. You must hold a valid medical license in Canada to apply.
